Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College celebrated Paper Bag Day on 12 July 2024, promoting eco-friendly practices and sustainability. The event aimed to raise awareness about the environmental impact of plastic use and encourage the adoption of paper bags as a sustainable alternative.
NCC girl cadets played a pivotal role in the celebrations, demonstrating exceptional leadership and commitment. They distributed paper bags to the Principal, CoE, IQAC Coordinator, office staff and students, symbolising the college’s dedication to reducing plastic waste.
Additionally, the senior cadets organised workshops on making paper bags and led informative sessions on environmental conservation to their junior cadets and other students of our institution.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the NCC cadets, organisers, volunteers and all participants for making this event a resounding success. Together, we are taking a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future.
