Blood Donation Camp

On July 16, 2024, the Red Ribbon Club of Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, in partnership with Rajaji Government Hospital, Madurai, conducted a highly successful blood donation camp. The event, inaugurated by Dr. P. Rajaguru, Principal of the college, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 75 students and staff members. Dr. M. Sudhadevi, Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club (RRC), ensured meticulous planning and execution, creating a supportive environment for the donors.

Jointly organised by the RRC, NCC, NSS and YRC, the camp highlighted the college’s commitment to social responsibility and community service. Student volunteers from these various clubs played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the event, assisting donors and coordinating logistics. 

Dr. Rajaguru praised the students for their altruism and emphasized the critical role of such initiatives in addressing the ongoing need for blood in medical emergencies. The collaboration between the college and Rajaji Government Hospital exemplifies the synergy between education and healthcare in promoting public welfare.

The success of the blood donation camp underscored the college’s commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian causes.
