As part of its outreach activities, the Department of Physics at Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur – 626 203, conducted an examination on 24th February 2025, for twelfth-standard students of Government Higher Secondary School, N, Subbiahpuram, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District. The exam comprised 50 multiple-choice questions sourced from previous years’ annual question papers. The question paper was prepared by students, faculty members, and retired professors of the Department of Physics.
To inspire young minds to pursue higher education in Basic Sciences, the Department of Physics initiated and organized an examination for students of government and government-aided schools across Virudhunagar District.
Dr. P. Sundara Venkatesh, Assistant Professor & Head, and Mr. N. Kannan, Research Scholar, Department of Physics, Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur, conducted the examination at the school. Mr. C. Hanimen@Sangaiah, PG Assistant in Physics at GHSS, N. Subbiahpuram, coordinated the arrangements.
The exam commenced promptly at 10:00 AM, with 42 students participating. Among them, 35 were from the Tamil medium and 7 from the English medium. After evaluating the answer sheets, prizes were awarded to the top three performers. The list of prize winners is given below.
