The Department of Physics at SRI S. RAMASAMY NAIDU MEMORIAL COLLEGE, under the DBT Star College Scheme, organized its Physics Association for the year 2024-2025. The event took place on July 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the New Seminar Hall.
The program began with a prayer song performed by Ms. K. S. RENUGA SREE and Ms. G. SAKTHI, both II M. Sc., students of Physics. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Ms. M. MUTHURANI, a III B. Sc., student of Physics.
The presidential address was given by Dr. P. SUNDARA VENKATESH, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Physics. The introduction to the Chief Guest was done by Dr. S. PANGAJAVALLI, Assistant Professor.
The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. R. BALAMURUGAN, a Software Development Manager at Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation, Boston, USA. He is also a distinguished alumnus of the department of physics of our college, having passed out in 1996-1993 Batch.
Mr. Balamurugan delivered an inspiring address to the students and faculty members.
Overall, the Physics Association (2024-2025) was a successful event that provided an opportunity for students to interact with each other and with the Chief Guest. It also showcased the talents of the students through their performances.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. K. ABINAYA, a I M. Sc., student of Physics. All participants sang the National Anthem together.
