Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur, organised the Student Induction Programme ‘25 on 18th June 2025 to welcome the newly admitted first-year students of the academic year 2025–2026. The programme was aimed at familiarising the students with the institutional ethos, academic framework, support systems, and campus facilities while inspiring them to embark on their higher education journey with confidence and purpose.

The morning session began with a formal welcome by the Principal, Dr. K. Krishnaveni, who greeted the gathering and introduced the significance of the induction process. She outlined the college’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. This was followed by thematic briefings from key academic and administrative leaders. Dr. A. Ranichitra, Dean of Academics, provided an overview of the academic programmes, curriculum structure, and credit system. Dr. A. Muthumani, Controller of Examinations, explained the examination and evaluation procedures, highlighting the importance of academic integrity.



Dr. R. Poongothai, Dean of Student Affairs, elaborated on the discipline policies and code of conduct to be observed on campus. Lt. Dr. B. Ajantha, Dean of Extension Activities, spoke about the various student support systems, including sports, extension activities, and transport facilities. Dr. S. Saravanakumar, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, introduced the skill development and value-added courses offered to enhance students’ employability. Dr. Geethamani, Placement Officer, presented the scope of career training, placement support, and industry linkages. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. V. Dhanuja, Associate Professor of Tamil.

The afternoon session, titled “See You at the Top”, was designed to provide students with motivational insights for academic and personal growth. The session commenced with a welcome address by Lt. Dr. B. Ajantha, setting the tone for the inspirational talks. Mr. E. Perumalsamy, Director of the institution, delivered the Presidential Address, encouraging students to pursue knowledge with sincerity and determination. Dr. K. Krishnaveni, in her felicitation, motivated the students to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the college.

The highlight of the afternoon session was the keynote address by Mr. L. Justin Sahayaraj, Director of ALM Consultancy, who served as the Chief Guest. He was introduced by Dr. M. Sudhadevi, RRC Coordinator. In his address, Mr. Sahayaraj urged students to set high goals, remain consistent in their efforts, and develop resilience in the face of challenges. His message, under the theme “See You at the Top”, left a strong impression on the young audience.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. S. Abirami, NSS Programme Officer, who acknowledged the contributions of all organisers and speakers. The event was compered by Dr. M. Kavitha, Assistant Professor of Tamil. The session ended with the rendition of the National Anthem, marking the close of a meaningful and inspiring day for the first-year students.

The Student Induction Programme ‘25 served not only to introduce students to the college environment but also to instil in them a sense of purpose and belonging, laying a strong foundation for their academic journey at Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College.
