After the welcome address, Dr. P. Sundara Venkatesh, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Physics gave the presidential address and initiated the program with his words of encouragement.
After that, Mrs. S. M. Mahalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics (PG) introduced the resource person to the gathering.
Introduction of the Resource Person

The guest of honour, Dr. M. Senthilvelan, Professor and Head of the Department of Non-Linear Dynamics at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, delivered a guest lecture on “Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics” during the forenoon session. His highly interactive lecture provided valuable insights into the historical background behind the Nobel Prize (2022). In the afternoon session, Dr. Senthilvelan also discussed the basic concepts of Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics. This session proved to be beneficial for both UG and PG students, enhancing their understanding of the fundamentals of Statistical Mechanics.

The resource person Dr. M. Senthilvelan delivered his lecture and students actively participated.
Ms. K. Archana Devi, III B.Sc., Physics proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem by ALL.
