The Department of Physics conducted a Physics Objective Practice Test for 12th Standard Students of the Government Higher Secondary School, Illayarasansendal, Kovilpatti on 14-02-2025 during the afternoon session. The practice test was conducted by Dr K. Saravana Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and 38 students participated in the Test.

The questions were selected carefully by the experts related to the Physics subject teaching in the Tamil Nadu State Board schools. The practice sheet contained 50 important questions designed to aid students in their Board Exam preparation.
The Headmistress of the GHSS school, Ms. M. Mariaselvi gave permission to conduct the test on the school premises during the school functioning time and the Physics Teacher in-Charge, Ms. S. Kanagalakshmi coordinated the whole event. Both the Headmistress and the Physics Teacher in-Charge provided all possible support to realise the Physics Objective Practice Test in a fruitful manner.

The practice sheet was distributed first to the students and a time of half an hour was given for answering the questions in the separate answer sheet given. Mr. Kannan, Research Scholar, Department of Physics assisted the entire process in the school. The answer was dictated to the students for all 50 questions. After the test, the students’ answer sheets were exchanged between them and they corrected the answer sheets of the student to award the marks.

After the analysis of the marks, the following students scored the highest marks among the students:

The practice test was successful one with a good and healthy interaction with the school students. The students were encouraged to study more intensively and score good marks in the Board Exam. Also, the students were given details on higher education opportunities after their successful 12 Board Exam results.

The toppers of the practice test were given prizes by the Headmistress of the GHSS school, Ms. M. Mariaselvi, and the Physics Teacher in-charge, Ms. S. Kanagalakshmi. The entire exercise ended with a fruitful and high note.
