The Inauguration Programme for the “Center for Skill Development Courses” was successfully held in the New Seminar Hall, Sri SRNMC, on 13th September, 2024, at 4 PM. The inauguration ceremony commenced with the College Prayer song sung by the students. Dr. P. Rajaguru, Principal, officially inaugurated the center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and by lighting the kuthuvilakku. Dr.D.K. Nathan, Controller of Examinations, Dr. V. Preetha, Dean of Skill Development, and Dr. C. Meenakshi, Deputy Dean of Skill Development lit the Kuthuvilaku and this ceremonial lighting symbolized the bright future of the new center and its mission to provide skill-based education and industry-relevant certifications to the students. At the inauguration program, the key audience consisted of students enrolled in two certification programs: the Certificate Course in Data Science and the Certificate Course in Data Analytics using SPSS
Dr V.Preetha, delivered the welcome address. Dr P.Rajguru, Principal delivered the Presidential address. In his opening remarks, he underscored the importance of skill development of students in today’s competitive landscape. He emphasized that the center, led by Dr. V. Preetha, Dean of Skill Development, will be pivotal in providing students with practical expertise through programs like Data Science and Data Analytics using SPSS. Dr. Rajaguru highlighted that these courses are designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to thrive in data-centric industries.Dr. C. Meenakshi delivered the vote of thanks, expressing her gratitude to the College Management, Dr. P. Rajaguru (Principal), and D.K. Nathan (Controller of Examinations), Dr V.Preetha(Dean, Skill development) for their encouragement and support, which contributed to the successful inauguration of the courses.
