Guest Lecture on Women’s Rights and Welfare

The Women Empowerment, Protection, Grievance and redressal Cell  and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial  College, Sattur, jointly organized a guest lecture on Women’s Rights and Welfare on August 22nd, 2024. The program aimed to create a society where women and girls can live with dignity, respect, and equal opportunities, enjoying equal rights and status in all aspects of life.

The program featured two esteemed resource persons from the Department of Social Welfare ,Virudhunagar:

1. Mr. P. Suresh , District Mission Co- Ordinator,

2. Mr. P.C. Ramkumar, Gender Specialist

The resource persons addressed the significance  of Women’s rights, Welfare Movements laws against domestic violence and Participation of women  in politics.

The program was attended by:

– 120 students

– 7 faculty members

This program is essential for achieving gender equality and empowering women. It provided a platform for discussions and awareness about women’s rights and welfare, inspiring students and faculty to work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
