An extension activity has been arranged by the Department of Computer Science (Self) to create an awareness on Cyber Crime Activity on 16.07.2024. The staff members( Ms.B.Kalaivani and Dr.S.Maheswari) and the students of the Department gathered in the Central Place of Sattur with placards and gave awareness speech on the impact of Cyber Crime among the public.
They insisted the people to use strong passwords and emphasized the importance of using strong passwords, avoiding clicking on unknown links such as those tempting offers from online shopping sites and cashback links. They distributed notices to the public to promote safe data usage practices.
The local community responded positively to the initiative, acknowledging its significance and expressing appreciation for the informative session with the team. Ms.B.Kalaivani, Assistant Professor of Computer Science thanked the Principal of the institution, police personnel, students and the public for the support.
